Suzana Naik
Bubbly,
cheerful and un-deterringly passionate are some of the adjectives that
would do justice to this extremely versatile singer. She is one of the
more recent additions to the band's lineup.
She hails from the city of Poona (Pune) in India, and has been dabbling
in music since her college days. With many diverse interests and her
hindustaani classical background, she brings a wealth of experience and
talent to this venture.
"Music is divine... it has to be... we sing in prayer and to rock
babies to sleep, don't we?"
Shraddha Agrawal
Another
recent addition to the band's lineup this year, from the city of Bombay
(Mumbai), India, Shraddha is equally at home belting out vocals from
the likes of Shreya Ghoshal and the newer singers as she is with
performing as a pure hindustaani classical vocalist.
Her in-depth knowledge of Hindustaani music (She is a music major) and
keen ear have been instrumental during our practise sessions.
You have to hear it to believe it.
Ujjwal Parikh
Another recent addition to the band's lineup this year, Ujjwal Parikh is a highly trained classical singer.
His unique skills, voice and classical training come in handy to expand
the band's vocal capabilities beyond what they were a few years ago
when we first started out.
Saket Joshi
While he's
not actively pursuing his PhD at Tufts university in the very
challenging field of Artificial Intellegence, Saket plays Keyboards for
AAROH. He, along with Nikhil contributes to the band's sound layering
strategy, and is another integral part of the AAROH family. A budding
composer, Saket actively composes music in his spare time, and has
quite a few originals under his belt already.
Akshay Navaladi
Tabla
maestro, and all around cool guy. Akshay Navaladi is a biotech engineer
with rhythm on his brain :). A very talented Tabla Player, he has
performed with many artists in the area, and is a key component of the
AAROH rhythm and percussion section and more importantly the AAROH
family. 'The Kid' as we lovingly call him has been with the band since
it's inception.
