The following are the key members of Team AAROH, whose never-ending passion, dedication and perseverance makes all this possible
Vasanth Murthy
A
scientist-turned-software engineer, Vasanth’s interest in music
goes back to his college days, where he actively participated in
various vocal competitions and events. In the US, Vasanth has performed
with a few different groups in the New England area. He has also
performed for various community concerts. He has sung in Hindi, Tamil,
Malayalam, Bengali and Telugu. Vasanth is taking training in Hindustani
classical music for over five years.
Vasanth’s other interests include writing; he has published a
book of poems and articles in English language dailies in India.
Abhijit Bhadra
One of the
founding members of team AAROH, Abhijit is a telecommunications
software developer by day and music enthusiast for the remainder.
This extremely dynamic and versatile singer is equally at ease
re-creating the magic of hindi film songs of yesteryear, as well as
rendering songs of recent times, to perfection. He is continuing his
hindustaani classical training, which is evolving into a passion for
him as the years pass.
Words cannot express the energy that Abhijit brings to any stage, and
ultimately to our little family. You have to see it to experience it.
Parag Joshi
One of the
latest additions to team AAROH, Parag is equally comfortable with
singing straight rock numbers as well as the Bollywood Genre rock
melodies. He sings for team AAROH and completes us with his unique
singing style and skills.
Smita Jani Ingle
A founding member
of Aaroh-US and an extremely versatile singer, Smita arrived on the New England
music scene more than a decade ago. Originally, a classically trained
Bharatnatyam dancer, Smita has given a number of dance and vocal performances
since childhood. In the US, she has performed with many bands in
Massachussetts, New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia area. Smita has been a
student of classical music under the tutelage of Mrs. Kumkum Sanyal after
arriving in the US. Music remains a passion for this full-time professional mom
who has rendered challenging numbers in concerts ranging from classical numbers
of Lata Mangeshkar to 'folksy' numbers of Sunidhi Chauhan effortlessly.
